This manuscript contains a sequence of sixty-six images of scenes from the life, martyrdom, miracles, and translation of St Denis, each next to a text initial within a full border.

St Denis is best known for his martyred body picking up his head after its beheading and walking away, depicted on several pages, one of which (f. 244v) has been featured below. Also featured are two images of injured supplicants praying to be healed (ff. 229v and 237r).
