An artefact of Oxford's more recent history, this collection of papers relates to the Delegacy for Women Students and includes correspondence, regulations, committee reports, standing orders and statutes relating to the Delegacy. The Delegacy effectively took over the key functions of the Association for Promoting the Education of Women in Oxford (AEW) and the duties of the Delegacy of Local Examinations by formally assuming supervision and control of women members of the University.

The featured paper (fol. 39r) is the Interim Report of the Committee on the Education of Oxford Women Students who Intend to Study medicine. It discusses a proposal to make arrangements for women planning a medical career to be able to study Organic Chemistry and Human Anatomy at a level already available to men at the University.
